Frequently asked questions

A range of community services including counselling, day programs, home support and specialized services such as mental health, orthopaedics,  pediatrics, psychiatry, geriatrics, diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation, among others, are offered at the Aline-Chrétien Health Hub. Some services will be offered only in the Fall.

There are no family health team or family physicians clinics at the Aline-Chrétien Health Hub. 

All family physicians in the region will be able to refer their patients to the Health Hub so that they can take advantage of community and specialized services.  Clients who do not have a family doctor should refer to the Health Care Connect program.

Please note that the Hub is a scent free environment; wearing scented products is not recommended for clients and visitors.

There is no Emergency healthcare services or Emergency Department at the Hub.

Residents can be referred to other service providers in the area such as emergency care available in Orléans, family physicians, or hospitals in the region depending on the person’s needs.

If you need immediate medical assistance, please dial 9-1-1 or go to the nearest Emergency Department. 

There is no birthing unit at the Hub.

There are excellent birthing units at Montfort and on Walkley Road, as well as other birthing units across the city.

Since receiving the government’s support in 2011, the Orléans Health Hub project has greatly progressed, along with our vision.

The project has progressed in collaboration with the government and several partners while respecting the ministry’s processes. Our focus has been on planning a new model of care that will integrate community and specialized healthcare (some of which are traditionally offered in hospitals) that are interconnected. This way, the Aline-Chrétien Health Hub will be better suited to meet the population’s growing healthcare needs in Ottawa East.
